K.J. McCorry

She specializes in facilitating sustainability strategic planning, conducting non-technical assessments and providing employee training. She has been an avid environmentalist for over 40 years cultivating sustainability within her own personal and professional lives. For the past 25 years, K.J. has served as one of the leading productivity consultants for companies, government agencies and non-profit organizations. Her work has been committed to streamlining processes to not only create efficiency but also sustainability. K.J. is a contributing author to Simple Path to Sustainability; Green Business Strategies for Small and Medium Sized Businesses. She teaches workshops for the Masters of the Environment at University of Colorado Boulder. She serves on the University of Colorado- Denver Managing for Sustainability Advisory Council . K.J. was a former instructor and content contributor to the online Sustainability Practices program at the University of Colorado Boulder Environmental Center. In 2013, she was awarded the Lifecycle Most Valuable Performer award from CORE (Connected Organizations for a Responsible Economy). This CORE award recognized individuals that have supported driving business sustainability within Colorado. In 2019, she was selected to the Colorado Governor’s Fellowship program. She was selected as a finalist for the 2008 Oppenheimer Funds Entrepreneur of the Year Award, who recognizes entrepreneurs who have successfully built businesses and positively impacted the community. She is a Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation Civic DNA Fellow and Colorado Governor’s Fellow. K.J. has served on multiple non-profit boards committed to social and environmental responsibility, wildlife conservation, education as well as professional trade associations. She currently serves on the following board of directors: Alliance Center, Eco-Cycle (Vice-President), and University of Colorado Denver.Managing for Sustainability Advisory Council. She served six years on the board for the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) and was integral in the formation of ISSP certification.
